I think it’s worth celebrating, but not to an extreme. It’s nice to have a reminder that we should be thinking about our loved ones, but you don’t have to go crazy with expensive gifts, just spending time together is enough.
I think it’s a nice holiday. Sometimes life gets so hectic we forget to show the one’s we love that we care and think about them. Valentine’s Day is a great little reminder to show them how much they mean to us.
I think it’s worth celebrating! (Even though I’ve only had one boyfriend, and we weren’t together on Valentine’s Day.) My sister once tried not making a big deal about Valentine’s Day but regretted it because it was a big deal to her anyway.
I think every day is worth celebrating, though. 🙂
I followed you on Pinterest. Your boards look so fun. 😀
Hallmark day.
You should show love randomly thru the year not just one day.
I think it is a hallmark holiday, we just finished celebrating Christmas with our loved ones and friends and family!
We think it is worth celebrating, since hubby and I first started dating at Valentine’s day many years ago. We like to reminisce and have a great time together.

We celebrate it every year without hallmark. It is a day for showing each other how much they still mean .
I think any day that focuses on love is a great idea, but we don’t “Hallmark”
I think it is worth celebrating, but it should not be about the gifts. I don’t think you have to run out and get flowers, chocolates and a gift to show someone how much you love them.

Valentine’s Day, like all holidays, are too commercialized now days. But you don’t have to spend a lot of money & cave in to all the ads they throw at you. Celebrate in your own way. Every day should be a Valentine’s Day when you are with the ones you love!

As a confirmed cheapskate, February 14 is necessary for February 15 sales. As a family, we celebrate Valentine’s day on the 15th each year. I don’t really need all the sappiness, though.
I think it’s a fun holiday…just don’t go crazy.
I do think it’s just a Hallmark holiday, but I don’t see any reason why we can’t celebrate with a nice evening at home and enjoy ourselves. We don’t go out of our way, or spend a bunch of money though. No cards or anything!

I think Valentine’s Day is a Hallmark Holiday. Your sweetheart should find ways every day of the year to show his or her love. It doesn’t have to be much, a simple “I love you!” is sufficient.

It’s worth celebrating – there’s plenty of men who’d never do anything romantic at any time during the year for their wives, if this day didn’t exist!

I think it’s worth celebrating.
To be honest, when you are single pretty much every Valentine’s Day and even when you are dating and the man doesn’t buy you anything, then no, I don’t feel it is worth celebrating. I am saying this because even when I was engaged for three years, through three Valentine’s Days he NEVER got me anything and when I confronted him about it, his excuse was always “how am I supposed to pay bills with spending that money on holidays?” My mind could change if I actually had someone worth celebrating for.

Saint Valentine’s day was yesterday and I got all I wanted….my sweet husband’s love, and God’s love too! But I get that everyday…so, no “extra day” is needed….but it is actually the FEAST of SAINT Valentine anyway which will always be the main reason for it. ILuvTheEucharist @ aol.com
Eh….. I have mixed emotions about this one!!! Hmm… Let’s see… I definitely find it a little random, not to mention a bit forced & maybe even on the verge of awkward to go from our ridiculously busy lives to all of a sudden being expected or in some cases one party of the relationship ‘expecting’ the other to just BAM!!! BE ROMANTIC & ALL LOVEY-DOVEY ON CUE!!!!! JUST LIKE THAT!!!!! Lol BUT… Then again, perhaps it IS good for a holiday such as this one to come along to sort of ‘remind’ us all to show the ones we care about some love & attention, instead of just swamping ourselves in work, stress at home with the kiddos, etc…. Did I even answer the question?? I’m rambling at this point!!! It’s too early!!! Lol Thanks!!! 🙂

I think it is worth celebrating! I love the story of St. Valentine, and so we always remember that story during our celebrations. It’s always been a day to celebrate love in general, not just romantic love, for my family. We always set the table with the best dishes, have lasagna, salad, and some kind of “red” dessert (this year I made strawberry cupcakes with strawberry cream cheese frosting), and exchange small gifts and cards, letting those in our family know they are loved!
It is worth celebrating but definitely has gotten out of hand with the commercialization
