I think it’s worth celebrating, but not to an extreme. It’s nice to have a reminder that we should be thinking about our loved ones, but you don’t have to go crazy with expensive gifts, just spending time together is enough.

I think it’s a nice holiday. Sometimes life gets so hectic we forget to show the one’s we love that we care and think about them. Valentine’s Day is a great little reminder to show them how much they mean to us.

I think it’s worth celebrating! (Even though I’ve only had one boyfriend, and we weren’t together on Valentine’s Day.) My sister once tried not making a big deal about Valentine’s Day but regretted it because it was a big deal to her anyway.

I think every day is worth celebrating, though. 🙂

I like celebrating Valentine’s Day because I like to let my significant other feel special. I do this year round but sometimes special days like this holiday are nice too. I usually don’t like to spend a lot of money. I like to be creative in celebrating.

I usually love Valentines day because I make it about everyone that I love, and not just my husband. I send Valentines to my mom and sister, my son and daughter, and my husband and I usually have a special dinner. I love it, and never make it stressful. I think that Valentines day is a spend the money holiday, and I think that wwe should always tell someone we love them without having to be on a holiday, we don’t celebrate Valentines day, but do celebrate the 15th which is our anniversary and it has worked for us for the last 48 years so we will continue.

To be honest, when you are single pretty much every Valentine’s Day and even when you are dating and the man doesn’t buy you anything, then no, I don’t feel it is worth celebrating. I am saying this because even when I was engaged for three years, through three Valentine’s Days he NEVER got me anything and when I confronted him about it, his excuse was always “how am I supposed to pay bills with spending that money on holidays?” My mind could change if I actually had someone worth celebrating for.

Saint Valentine’s day was yesterday and I got all I wanted….my sweet husband’s love, and God’s love too! But I get that everyday…so, no “extra day” is needed….but it is actually the FEAST of SAINT Valentine anyway which will always be the main reason for it. ILuvTheEucharist @ aol.com

Eh….. I have mixed emotions about this one!!! Hmm… Let’s see… I definitely find it a little random, not to mention a bit forced & maybe even on the verge of awkward to go from our ridiculously busy lives to all of a sudden being expected or in some cases one party of the relationship ‘expecting’ the other to just BAM!!! BE ROMANTIC & ALL LOVEY-DOVEY ON CUE!!!!! JUST LIKE THAT!!!!! Lol BUT… Then again, perhaps it IS good for a holiday such as this one to come along to sort of ‘remind’ us all to show the ones we care about some love & attention, instead of just swamping ourselves in work, stress at home with the kiddos, etc…. Did I even answer the question?? I’m rambling at this point!!! It’s too early!!! Lol Thanks!!! 🙂

I think it is worth celebrating! I love the story of St. Valentine, and so we always remember that story during our celebrations. It’s always been a day to celebrate love in general, not just romantic love, for my family. We always set the table with the best dishes, have lasagna, salad, and some kind of “red” dessert (this year I made strawberry cupcakes with strawberry cream cheese frosting), and exchange small gifts and cards, letting those in our family know they are loved!

I think it’s a day to show the people that you love, that you love them – worth it.

It is a Hallmark holiday, but my husband and I still try to go out to dinner (although this year we just stayed home and made waffles).

I think it’s an okay holiday, although you don’t need one day of the year to celebrate love!

Thanks for the chance to win 🙂

I use it as an excuse to go do something with my husband, but I think all the commercial stuff is silly. toastersareflying @gmail.com

I think Valentine’s Day is special, it’s just gone out of control. My hubby starts every day with coffee, kisses and a hug (he makes the coffee and brings it to me!). His parents taught him well!

I think the day is worth a little celebrating since people enjoy having reasons to celebrate something.

Valentines’s Day is fun if you have kids but my husband & I celebrate our love everyday so it’s just another day for us. I would kill him if he spent $50 on flowers or candy. We go the next day and get candy at 50% off LOL

I think it’s a Hallmark Holiday. I love getting flowers and surprises.. but I’d rather it be done out of the blue because someone loves me.. not on a holiday that says they need to do it to show that they love me
