One of my biggest challenges to eating better is time. I have a busy schedule and don’t always have time to fix something or actually sit down and eat. A lot of times, I’m eating in the car or during meetings.
So how do we get around that. Well my schedule isn’t lightening up at all but I can do something. I can plan ahead. Make sure I always have something planned for meal time and things made ahead of time to grab and go.
Making a meal plan is the first step. When you have a meal plan, you can shop and get everything you need for the week. Then all ingredients are on hand.
Second step is to make ahead. Take some time at the beginning of your week to put together lunches and snack options. that way when you’re heading out the door, all you need to do is grab a pre-planned, pre-prepared meal or snack.
Meat sticks and cheese sticks are great snack options. If you didn’t get time to prepare some lunches or snacks ahead of time, just always make sure that you have cheese stick and meat sticks in your refrigerator. Those are easy grab and go options.
Now on to my progress for the week.
I’ve been sick for the last couple weeks. Terrible cold and strep throat. It really has wiped me out. I’m still sick but finally feeling somewhat better. I’m finally getting an update up.
The last blog post weigh in, I weighed 209. I’m now down to 200!!! That means that I’ve lost 52 lbs total! I am so close to the 100s!! I can’t wait.
While sick, I haven’t been able to get to the gym or Zumba so I’m excited to get back.. hopefully soon.
I thought I’d post a couple of pics so you can see the progress. (remember my weight loss tips to “Say Cheese“… it’s good to keep track of your progress with weekly pictures. Here is a comparison from week 1 to week 14.
Do you plan ahead? What are some of your weight loss tips?
