Do you have monthly prescriptions that you are taking or prescriptions that you’re managing for someone in the family? My husband and daughter, Faith, both have monthly medication refills that I have to be on top of. We’re a busy household and I’m juggling a lot so I use Walgreens for all of our prescriptions.
We’ve been managing our daughter’s Crohn’s disease for 5 years now. It has not been an easy journey but I’m happy to say that the past 2 years have been great for her. She’s doing well, hasn’t had any hospital visits and has been symptom free.
Right now, we’re managing Faith’s Crohn’s Disease with 2 different medications. She has 2 injections that she takes 1 time each per week. I get monthly refills for her medicines and her syringes through Walgreens. I’ve got it set up so that I get refill reminders via text so that I can manage medications for everyone in the family. I could also just set up Auto Refill if I wanted to.
Setting up a refill is super easy. I’ve been using the Walgreens app and let me tell you, it’s awesome. No more calling it in on the phone or running into the pharmacy. All I need to do is open the app, scan the prescription bar code and schedule it for when I’m able to pick it up. That’s it.
The app has plenty of other great options for managing your family health. You can not only use the app but you can also use Walgreens online. You can manage everything from your family’s medications and immunization history to prescription records. It really helps when you have a family of 6 to try to keep track of. And especially if you have prescriptions that need monthly refills.
Walgreens makes it really easy for us to get everything we need to take care of Faith. I run through the drive through and grab her prescriptions that are waiting for us. I usually grab 2 months of syringes needed at a time. I just hop into the store and pick those up. While I’m there, I can also pick up anything else we might need and then I use my Balance Reward card to earn coupons and rewards.
With the journey that we’ve been through with Faith, having the help of Walgreens for managing medication refills is just one less thing we have to worry about.

How awesome is it that you don’t have to worry about refills and the hassle in filling them? And it’s such a blessing that your daughter has been symptom free for two years. I hope it continues!
