Test Driving the KIA Soul

August 14, 2013 by Dawn Filed Under: Reviews 1 Comment

Disclosure: I was provided a KIA Soul to test drive and for review purposes only. I was not compensated for this review. All opinions are my own.

Do you get tired of driving your vehicle? I get so bored driving my mini van. It’s fun to test drive other vehicles to see how they compare and what you might want to buy for your next vehicle purchase.

I loved our mini van when we first got it but now I’m pretty tired of it. Because we’re a family of 6, though, we need those 7 passenger vehicles. My husband does have a smaller car though for going back and forth to work. It’s nice to have a couple of vehicle options…one for the whole family and a smaller vehicle for work or fun.

2013 KIA Soul

My husband and I just went on a trip to Indiana. It was just the two of us and a friend of ours. We were able to test drive a KIA Soul for our roadtrip. It was so nice to not have to take our mini van.

KIA Soul

After we got home from our trip, I used the KIA Soul to drive around town, taking the kids here and there. The kids loved it! The model we drove had a moon roof/sun roof and that is always a hit with the kids. We had fun driving around town with the sun roof open and the radio playing. The Soul came equipped with Sirius radio, navigation, LED lighting, push button start with smart key and more. All options that are great to have.

The KIA Soul is an affordable, fun vehicle. We loved the LED lighting. It’s a standard option with the KIA Soul. It’s just a fun extra that the Soul has over other vehicles. I like to play with colors and switch between “mood” lighting and the with the “music” option.

Everything that the KIA Soul has made it a fun car to drive around.

Now as for long roadtrips, the KIA Soul would probably not be my first choice. While the seats were comfy and the interior very roomy, I felt more of the bumps of the road than I was used to in my mini van. But it did get pretty good gas mileage and that’s a plus.

I love the options KIA has. If you’re looking to purchase a vehicle in the near future, head over to KIA. The 2014 KIA Soul will be coming out soon. I’m looking forward to seeing it!

I bet you enjoyed driving the new car around. I have not drove a “new ” car since 2003 lol. I love the fact mine is paid off and not looking for new payments.I did have my eye on a suped up truck and really wanted it until I thought about payments.
