Keto Whipped Coffee – Make with your choice of milk for a delicious treat!

April 17, 2020 by Dawn Filed Under: Best Of, Keto 4 Comments

Have you heard of whipped coffee yet? It’s delicious… and full of sugar! 😉 I put a twist on it and made my own Keto Whipped Coffee. Find the recipe below.

Ok y’all.. anyone else find yourself snacking and grazing all day long? I jokingly said that I’ve got the ‘COVID 15’ going on right now. Joke or not, I have definitely put on some extra weight while being safer at home. It is time for me to cut back and get back to Keto.

Oh but man, in the meantime, I have really been enjoying my sugar laden coffee drinks. I can’t stand the thought of breaking up with them. But.. there is a way to enjoy them without all of the sugar! AND it tastes delicious! Say what?! Yep, make a few substitutions and this becomes a delicious Keto Whipped Coffee treat.

So to back up a little bit, I first saw this whipped coffee idea on a friend’s Facebook page. I had never heard of it but apparently it’s making the rounds on social media. There’s been a few different ways of making it that I’ve seen. I decided to add one more way of making it and make mine a Keto version.

Keto Whipped Coffee

Regular Whipped Coffee is made with an instant coffee, regular or decaf, water, sugar, milk, and ice. You can also add flavored creamer, caramel, etc etc. Sugar, sugar, and more sugar, right?!

You start by using a blender to blend together the coffee, sugar, and water in a small bowl. You mix it until you get this nice thick whip. Then you grab a glass of ice, fill with milk, (and any other additions like creamer, caramel, etc) and then top with your coffee whip. Mix and drink.

It reminds me of my favorite summer drink, the caramel macchiato. Extra caramel please!!

No more of those for me though while on keto. Instead, I’m going to be making up these delicious Keto Whipped Coffee drinks.

So to make this drink Keto, substitute the sugar for your favorite sugar substitute, and use unsweetened almond or coconut milk or you can even use heavy whipping cream. My tip with using heavy whipping cream is to maybe use water with a splash of cream or mix to your preferred ratio. You can also use sugar free coffee flavorings, etc. So good!

This will make enough for 2 drinks.
