It’s been 5 weeks since my weight loss surgery. The weight came off very quickly in the beginning but I’m afraid I just hit my first weight loss plateau. Which is frustrating.
Anytime you hit a plateau, it’s not fun. I expected it but just not this early. The difference between this time and any other times I’ve hit a plateau, I have no choice but to keep going. Having the Gastric Sleeve surgery keeps me from over eating. And over eating is just what I would have done to face those plateaus in the past.
If I didn’t see results, then I’d get upset and that’d lead to giving up and going back to my old ways. I can’t do that this time. So I push through.
On a positive note, my energy level is slowly coming back and my stomach is getting used to more solid foods. I’m enjoying the Medifast mashed potatoes and the ready to drink shakes. And I took measurements and lost a total of 7 1/2 inches. That’s always nice to see.
Hopefully the weight will start coming off again this week for a better report next week. In the meantime, have a great Christmas!
