NETGEAR is a part of our 2015 Holiday Gift Guide. Regardless all opinions are my own. WiFi hotspot device; mobile WiFi; mobile hotspot; AT&T; NETGEAR #lifeconnected @WiFiFamily @NETGEAR

The holiday season is upon us! It’s the time for good cheer, sweater weather, and thinking of the perfect gift to buy for our family and friends. In this age of technology, we know that any gift that allows someone internet access is a win!

My family takes lot’s of road trips so having wifi on the road is something that is important to us. So when I was given the chance to work with NETGEAR this holiday season I was super excited to try it out and share it with you!

At NETGEAR, we turn ideas into innovative networking products that connect people, power businesses, and advance the way we live. From the most advanced wireless Internet connectivity, remote home video monitoring, storage solutions, and AirCard® mobile devices, you’ll have the speed, range and performance you need, every time you need it. NETGEAR and AT&T are excited about the AT&T Unite for GoPhone prepaid mobile hotspot. It is secure Wi-Fi on the go that will make your life easier.

Now for non-techies, you may be asking… “Why do I need the AT&T Unite to create a hotspot when I can do that on my phone?”

Here are a few thoughts on that.

  1. What kind of data plan do you have? If you don’t have unlimited data or a plan with a substantial amount of data, if you tether your phone, you may find yourself burning through your data really quickly.
  2. Phone battery life – I don’t know about your phone but my battery never seems to last when I need it to. Using your phone as a hotspot will make you burn through your battery even faster. The AT&T Unite for GoPhone will last up to 10 hours continuous use.
  3. With the AT&T Unite, you can tether several devices without sacrificing performance.

The AT&T Unite Express prepaid makes the perfect gift! With a prepaid hotspot, you’re not committed to monthly reoccurring fees. You load it when you want online or pick up a data card at your local retailer. Great for the college student or a reward for a job well done, doing chores, etc.

If you find yourself or you know of someone on your gift list that that is always on the go and could use a great hotspot, make sure you check out the AT&T Unite Express for GoPhone.

You can also find NETGEAR on Facebook.

Secure wifi spot? That’s actually really cool for places that don’t have the ability to connect you (because there still are some, surprisingly!)

I like that AT & T is teaming up with Netgear to help the consumer have a secure way of having hot-spots and mixing it with prepaid options. This is so nice to have as an option.
