Thank you to Kia for letting us drive the 2017 Kia Cadenza on our recent trip to Texas. All opinions are my own.
How often do you and your spouse get away? Not with the kids but just the two of you? For us, it doesn’t happen that often. We love our kids, don’t get me wrong, but it’s important to spend alone time together too.
We don’t get that time away very often but we try to work it in as much as we can. We recently had a parents only long weekend in Texas. We LOVE Texas.
We were able to spend a few days visiting friends but we also made a day trip to Waco to see Magnolia Market and then spent the night down on the Gulf coast in Surfside.
Having said all of that, that means we did a LOT of driving. And driving in Houston. Whew! If you’re not used to Houston traffic… well let’s just say it’s a bit crazy!
Thankfully we had a fully loaded 2017 Kia Cadenza on our trip. This car is simply amazing.
The sleek style definitely turns heads. It’s not only impressive to look at but it’s a truly luxury ride. We were traveling around Texas in style. That’s for sure!
While trying to navigate Houston traffic, I was so thankful for the features in the 2017 Kia Cadenza. The heads up display was great. Have you been in a car with heads up display? When there’s so much going on, having the display right in the window is awesome! And I’m not sure how anyone drives in Texas without features like the autonomous emergency breaking, advance smart cruise control, blind spot detection, camera displays, etc. You need all the help you can get dealing with that kind of traffic.
Having the navigation system was great too! Trying to find your way around Texas is no joke!
Have to say, the most favorite part of the trip was Surfside. I loved the beach and you could drive right along the shore. Take a look at our vlog from our trip.

Needless to say, we were most impressed with the 2017 Kia Cadenza. Before driving in Texas, I hadn’t known much about it. Now, I can’t stop talking about this amazing car.
Now granted, we didn’t have the kids with but look at the room in the back seat. Everyone would be comfortable in this car.
Such a cool, sleek design!
The Apple Car Play was also new to us. I love how much they have upgraded and incorporated technology into our vehicles. This is great!
Doesn’t this make you want to cruise up and down the Gulf Coast? Oooh how I wish I could go back today. Sun roof open, windows down, cruising in the 2017 Kia Cadenza. Life is good!
