This week’s Weight Loss Tips and Tricks involves taking pictures.

Many of us that are carrying extra pounds, avoid pictures. We don’t like what we see and we definitely don’t want to see reminders of how overweight we are. BUT.. I want to encourage you to take pictures. Especially if you’re starting an exercise routine or making a healthy lifestyle change.

There’s so many things that can derail us from our goals. We need motivation to get us through. And a picture can do that. Especially if you look at before and after pics. We sometimes can miss just how much weight we’ve lost or toning we have done. It helps to be able to see it in pictures. It can be motivational or a kick in the pants to get us moving again.

So Say Cheese and take those before and after pics. Maybe even take pics once a week so you have pictures showing your progress.

On to my progress for the week. I weighed myself at the beginning of the week and I’m down to 209!  3 lbs lost this last week.

However, the last few days, I’ve lost nada. I’m afraid I’m looking at another plateau. GAH. But I’ll get through it. I’m going to the gym 3 days a week, Zumba at least once a week and Karate once a week. I suppose I could be gaining some muscle too which will show on the scale.

No matter, I’m just enjoying fitting into smaller clothes, having more energy and seeing improvements in overall health.

Are you on a weight loss journey? I’d love to hear about it!

Great advice! I hit a plateau on Medifast 2 weeks ago. My measurements and photos definitely SHOW that I am still losing even though the scale didn’t reflect the changes.
