How To Save Yourself From Becoming an Overwhelmed & Stressed Mom

May 26, 2019 by Dawn Filed Under: Health & Fitness Leave a Comment

Being a busy mom of four isn’t always easy, and it will take a toll on your health if you’re not careful about attending to your needs daily. What you should do is to come up with a plan for living a healthy lifestyle and avoiding becoming an overwhelmed or stressed mom.

Stop beating yourself up and start taking note of all you do what’s right and beneficial for you and your family. Be honest with yourself about areas of improvement, but give yourself a break and know it’ll take time to adjust your ways. Rest when necessary and accept the fact that you can’t do it all and live in peace, instead, do what you’re able to and be proud of your efforts.

Ask for Help

One person can only do so much, so understand your limits and speak up when you need help. Ask your friends, family, and kids for assistance and to pitch in when your tasks begin to pile up, and you could use a hand. People can’t read your mind and won’t know you’re feeling overwhelmed until you notify them and request they take some responsibilities off your plate. Keep in mind that reaching out is a sign of strength and doesn’t mean you’re a terrible parent.

Exercise Regularly and Eat Well

A great way to let go of some steam and manage your stress is to exercise regularly. It doesn’t mean you have to be pounding the gym for hours every day – let’s face it, with four kids, that’s never going to an easy feat! No – look for exercise that you can incorporate into your everyday life – walks and bike rides with the kids, swimming, playing in the park. You also need to be making sure that you eat well – plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and protein for energy because as a busy parent, you need it! Hundred personalized vitamins can give you a helping hand if and when you need it.

Get Organized

Getting organized and decluttering your space will allow you to quickly find what you’re looking for and not waste any time. Make lists, follow a schedule and keep a calendar to help you stay on track when life gets busy. This way, you’ll know where everyone is at all times and what’s upcoming that you need to prepare for in advance. Keep your calendar with you at all times, so you can quickly see if you’re overbooked before committing to additional obligations.

Make more time for you

You need to start putting your health and you first if you’re going to be less stressed and have more energy throughout your days. This could mean you are waking up early to go for a walk or settling into a good book before bed. Make it a point to indulge in more self-care activities throughout the day and attend to your own needs before others. This will provide you with the liveliness and strength you must have to care for the ones you love.

Several ways will allow you to live a happy and healthy life and avoid unwanted stress. Notice when you feel yourself becoming overwhelmed and put some of these strategies into practice. Keep at it and continue to have power over your schedule before it has a chance to control you.
