If you’re a fan of any aspect of the Star Wars universe, you will definitely want to pick this up. The bonus content alone is worth the price of admission. I watched the four-part behind-the-scenes documentary, Secrets Of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey, with the family, and it was pretty amazing. The title undersells the actual content a bit, as the documentary covers much more than just The Force Awakens. It’s an interesting, informative look into the history of the Star Wars franchise. Even as huge Star Wars fans, there was quite a bit of material we had never seen before. It was obviously put together lovingly, with an understanding that Star Wars is more than just a movie series; it’s a family bonding experience.
As if all of that wasn’t enough to make us geek out, the remote control BB-8 droid that we got Tim for Christmas actually interacts with the movie as we watch it!
Thanks to the video and digital release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we will spend many an evening hanging out as a family, dressed in our Star Wars shirts, faithful BB-8 droid in attendance, cheering for Rey, Finn, Poe, and the rest of the gang.
May the Force be with you!
