There's all sorts of things that cause stress. But what do you do to relive stress? Take a look at some of the ways I relieve stress:

Stress? What’s that? Oh, that thing that keeps us up at night, keeps our minds going 24/7, that thing that causes our shoulders to tighten up and our heads to ache? Is that what you’re talking about?

Yea, I have that. I’m a homeschooling, stay at home, work at home, blogging mom of 4. Of course I have stress. I bet we all do. We live in a busy world. Running kids to and fro, dealing with jobs, co-workers, money issues, family issues, etc. There’s all sorts of things that cause stress.

But what do you do to relive stress? Take a look at some of the ways I relieve stress:

My Top 5 Ways to Relieve Stress

1. Read a book

I really never loved reading when I was a kid. Not sure why. Maybe I was too busy doing other things. Now a days though, I love to read. My kindle is loaded with books and when I need to relieve stress, reading is my first go-to method.

2. Have Coffee with a Friend

Just getting away for 30 minutes can relieve stress. Sometimes you just need to get away for a little bit and being able to catch up with a friend is a perfect way to do that!

3. Go for a Walk

This is a bit like “just need to get away” but going for walk can be so soothing and relaxing. You can breathe in the fresh air and just clear your mind. Which is definitely needed after the long winter we’ve had.

4. Have a Spa Day

Get a little pampering. You deserve it. Whether you’re just getting a manicure, pedicure, hair cut or the whole works, a little pampering can go a long way.

5. Get a good night’s sleep

Ok so when you’re stressed, you probably can’t sleep. Can’t shut your mind off. Been there done that. I turn to RESCUE. They have several great products to help you ‘shut down’ and de-stress. RESCUE Pastilles, RESCUE Sleep Liquid Melts, RESCUE Pearls, and more. RESCUE helps you stress less, stay calm and in control.

SOme great ideas for dealing with stress besides the old adage “Don’t sweat the small stuff”..that small stuff is what sneaks up on me at night when I am trying to sleep and then I start thinking about it, I love to read at night and frequently it gets my mind off of things, thank you for reminding me of some other methods to deal with stress.

Yes, I agree!! That small stuff can turn into big stuff when you just can’t stop thinking/worrying.

That is a nice list of stress relievers. I also like to read when I’m stressed and I love getting my nails done. My go-to stress reliever is to do some stretches for the whole body with extra attention on my upper back. I also like to exercise and I stretch before and after a workout.
