My Family Needs a Kurio #NeedaKurio #SweetSuite13

August 7, 2013 by Dawn Filed Under: Kids Leave a Comment

Now a days, kids are using the internet and social media so early! If you’re my age, you might remember taking a computer class in elementary school…it was on one of those ‘old’ Apple 2e. The class was to learn how to properly turn on, insert a floppy disk and how to properly shut down. There was a specific order and you could not deviate. Aye aye aye.

Sure not the same with the current generation. My kids know how to use electronics better than I do.

However, all of this technology also opens up some huge issues. How to you protect your kids from the problems that come with all of this technology.

One of our 4 kids is pretty “adventurous” and needs to be monitored more than others. I’m not sure how he did it but last month we got a notification that we purchased a subscription to a game he was playing. Thankfully it wasn’t too expensive but still. That boy needs strict lock downs on all technology!

I don’t want to pull technology completely but to be able to have parental controls on the technology they do have access to is important. Like the Kurio. I ran into Kurio at BlogHer13. This is something that I can feel good about my kids using!

With Kurio you can have parental controls, time management, web filters, app management, pre-loaded content and have different profiles. So I can set up different controls for each of the kids.

Kurio is definitely something my family needs!!

Check out the Kurio if this sounds like something your family needs too!
