I’m always looking for new places to go when we take a family vacation. Even if it is a city we’ve visited before, I like to try new things and find out about local favorites. We still visit the touristy places, but it is so much fun when you can do something you’ve never done before! I travel a lot for work, but I make a point of taking the family on a trip a few times a year.
We flew down to Florida last year and I wish I had known about Vimbly. They aim to differentiate themselves by allowing travelers to find interesting activities in a city and actually book their reservations at the same time. Have you ever scrolled through a search on the web to find something fun to do while on vacation? That’s usually what I do, but I won’t be doing that again. With Vimbly I can find the activity and book our reservation while I’m on the same page.
I went to Vimbly to Find Things to do in Orlando. Take a look at a few activities available. I’ve picked a few of the things that I think my family will enjoy. I narrowed my selection to the dates we’ll be visiting and found these fun adventures for the family.
Find Things to do in Orlando
Sunrise Hot-Air Balloon Ride
This one is on my bucket-list!
Meeting one hour prior to sunrise, you’ll travel to your launch site for take-off. Once you are airborne, your pilot will point out the spectacular sights of the Orlando area, from the theme parks to the orange groves, forests and swamps.
Kennedy Space Center and Everglades Airboat
I’ve always wanted to visit the Everglades and spend some time exploring Kennedy Space Center. There is so much history to discover.
Head by comfortable coach to the Everglades, about 45 minutes outside of Orlando, and discover the diversity of flora and fauna in Florida’s amazing wetlands. When you arrive at the park, board your airboat for a thrilling 30-minute ride!As you soar into the miles of protected swamps, marshes, and rivers that make up the Central Florida Everglades, your guide will point out native plants, flowers, birds and other wildlife such as the Florida alligators – the Everglades’ most formidable inhabitants. Then, take a 20-minute drive by bus to Kennedy Space Center, where you’ll have approximately 6.5 hours to explore the Visitor Complex.
Richard Petty Race Car Ride-Along
Speed. I need speed! This sounds like a rush.
Head to Daytona International Speedway for your exciting race car ride-along program. Located in Daytona Beach, this famous racetrack is home to the legendary DAYTONA 500.Your professional instructor will provide a safety instruction before helping you gear up in your driver’s suit, helmet and neck guard. Then, hop in the passenger’s seat of a Sprint Cup-style stock car and hit the track! Hold tight as your expert driver takes you on an exciting 3-lap drive, simulating a race car qualifying run. You’ll see what it feels like to be in a real race car as it thunders around the track at speeds of up to 145 mph
