Now a days there is tech all around us. Our kids are living in a high-def world. It is what it is. How many times do you see kids with a headset or earphones on? It’s like it’s a part of their wardrobe.
I had a chance to visit with Etymotic Research, Inc. while at a conference this summer. It’s really eye opening to think about the effects of this high-def world on our kids’ hearing.

I don’t think we’re ever going to go back to the “olden days” so we need to move forward and look for things like safe earphones for kids. I love that Etymotic Research, Inc. has thought of this issue and has come up with a great solution.
I actually tried these ETY-Kids safe earphones for kids myself. They are wonderful. I’m actually listening to music with them right now as I write this post. The sound level is great and they are actually blocking out a lot of the background noise. That is one of the things my kids complain about when listening with earphones – the background noise.
They fit really great it my ears and I think they’d be great for little ears as well. My youngest has trouble finding earphones that fit and are comfortable.
