Disney’s Planes Recording Studio Feeling like a Star

Disney's Planes Recording

Have you been following along on my Disney’s Planes Event Experience? I had so much fun at my time in LA absorbing all things Disney.

This experience was perhaps one of the funnest, coolest experiences and I’m so excited to share it with you.

Disney’s Planes Recording Studio experience

In small groups, we all got to go into the Disney’s Planes Recording Studio. We were welcomed by sound engineer George Thompson and Casting Director Jason Henkel. They were so amazing to work with. Doing a voice over was a bit nerve wracking but they made it all a breeze. I will admit, I’m secretly hoping that they’ll think I did such a fabulous job that they’ll cast me in an upcoming movie. 😉

Take a look at my Disney’s Planes Recording Studio experience:

I did forget while I was in there recording that they were also shooting a video of it. eeeeks! But thankfully it’s not too embarrassing. HA! I was able to do a few takes to get it right. You’ll see that I got a little frustrated with myself over the timing. We got a clip from Disney’s Planes and then had to voice over Teri Hatcher trying to match our voice with the already in place animation. It wasn’t super easy but it was so fun. While in front of the mic, there was also the video clip playing in front of us. That’s what I’m watching to try to match  my voice to the animation of Dottie.

Take a look at my finished voice over production:

Yes, that is really my voice. How crazy is that?! It was such a fun, fun experience. I am so grateful for the opportunity and thankful to the team for doing such an awesome job putting the recordings together.
