My kids love games. What kids don’t, right? It’s so great when you can find fun games that the kids not only like to play but that are educational, too. As a homeschool mom, I want to instill the love of learning in my kids. I don’t want them to hate school. If they learn to love learning, then they will continue to seek out knowledge the rest of their lives.

The Around the World board game makes learning a total blast.  My kids love this game! They sat down together and all 4 of them played and had a great time.

The object of the game is to travel.  Who doesn’t enjoy doing that?  Because we can’t all physically travel to Rome to learn about the Colosseum, Around the World takes us there (and everywhere else) with 200 educational trivia cards based on the themes of People and Places, Geography and Language, and Culture and Customs.

Children (and adults) learn to identify different regions and places in the world, the people in those places, along with the language, culture, and customs of those people.  It’s a great way to introduce your family to new geographical areas, lifestyle practices and cultural rhythms that they probably don’t know much about.

Even better, the Around the World board game provides a great visual learning tool that not only introduces exciting information in a healthy competitive atmosphere, but it also helps reiterate facts, so that we retain this new found knowledge and begin to care for the world around us.  We start to realize that we all have the ability to be global citizens, investing in the world, its people and its wellbeing and fostering consideration for our local communities.

If there’s a gift for the holiday season that gives back to you, your family, and the world around you, it’s the inspirational and creative spirit in the Around the World board game.

Due to highly popular demand, Around The World Games is currently sold out of product!  But they will have it back in stock with plenty of time to ship it for the holidays, so place your order here and receive free shipping this holiday season!

While you’re on the site, check out ATWG’s Learning Through the Lens program. To participate, you just have to send in a photo you cherish from one of your trips and explain what it means to you. Each month, two or three of the photos are chosen as winners and the winners get their photo and their story on the ATWG blog as well as a free board game.
