Time to find more Paleo friendly recipes. I love love love the Original Orange Julius. Yum! This recipe takes the original recipe and makes a few substitutions to make it a Paleo Friendly Orange Julius.
When there are so many substitutions for things, there’s no reason why you can’t still enjoy all or at least most of your favorite recipes. 😉
Now having said that, Orange Juice concentrate does contain sugar. So this might be an occasional treat vs. an every day thing. That’s why I say that it’s Paleo friendly. There’s a lot of different options with Paleo.
Here’s the original Orange Julius ‘copy cat’ Recipe.
6 ounces frozen orange juice concentrate
1 cup milk, lowfat okay
1 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 ice cubes
Now for the Paleo Friendly version.

Hmmm…I have heard much about Paleo choices. This juice actually sounds appetizing to me. Thank you for sharing.

just fyi… I love to make this original recipe at home. I don’t know about paleo much, but just for convenience sake, we use 14 ounces of regular orange juice instead of the cup of water and o.j. concentrate because we often don’t have the concentrated stuff on hand. It works just as good, just might add a few more ice cubes. Thought that might help someone 🙂
