Are you one who gets motion sick? We have two members in our family, my husband and our oldest daughter Abbie, who deal with nausea from any kind of movement. They both can find themselves feeling nauseous even from a car ride. It’s not fun. So we’re always on the lookout for the best solution for motion sickness.
I was asked to try out Reliefband and knowing how motion sick my daughter can get, I had her try it out.
Reliefband® Technologies is the world leading innovators in wearable technology for the treatment of nausea, retching, and vomiting.
Reliefband uses patented, clinically-proven, FDA-cleared technology to treat motion sickness. The unique neuromodulation technology was developed for use in hospitals and alters nerve activity through targeted delivery of gentle pulses to the underside of the wrist to “turn off” feelings of nausea, retching and vomiting. It works quickly without side effects.
Solution for Motion Sickness
Reliefband, I think, is meant to be worn more on an as needed basis but Abbie has been wearing it more often than not the last couple of weeks. She gets motion sick often. This morning as I was getting her thoughts on it, she had said that she woke up feeling a little ‘blah’ so she put Reliefband on right away. Now she’s been enjoying her day with no nausea.
How to Use
Using either wrist, you first start by finding the “starting area.” What you’re looking for is the area between the two tendons on the underside of your wrist and then two finger widths from the first crease of your wrist.
Clean your wrist area and then apply a small drop of gel (provided with Reliefband) and spread in a circle.
Then place the Reliefband over the gelled area and fasten snugly.
Press the power button to turn on and start at power level 1. You can then increase stimulation until you feel a comfortable tingling in your palm and middle finger.
That’s it!
I sure wish we would have had this solution to motion sickness when we took our cruise last fall. Poor Abbie was so sick. We had given her all sorts of other sea sickness type medicines but she was pretty miserable the whole trip. I felt horrible for her that she really couldn’t enjoy the cruise much at all.
Thankfully though, we found Reliefband and will have a solution to motion sickness for her. Now I need to pick up one for my husband as well.
