Disney invited me on an all expense paid trip for The Good Dinosaur Premiere and event. However, all opinions are my own.
If you’ve been following on my social media the last few days, you might have seen a lot of pictures, Facebook updates and Tweets. I have had a whirlwind week. I love being able to live post and tweet so that you might feel like you’re experiencing it with me.
I am always very appreciative and grateful for the opportunities that my blog has afforded me. There is always a lot of work involved but it’s very worth it. And I realize just how fortunate I am to be able to attend events like these.
This week, I have been immersed in all things Disney. One of the big highlights of this trip was The Good Dinosaur Premiere.
The Good Dinosaur Premiere
Again, I know how fortunate I am to be able to actually be at the event, walking the red carpet (in this case it was blue and green 😉 ) and to be able to attend the after party where I could actually rub elbows with the cast of the film. Can you wrap your head around it? Because I’m still having a hard time believing that I was there.
I do have pictures to prove it though so I really was there. No need to pinch me!
I love looking at the online coverage after the event. I could spend hours just looking at all of the pictures right from the event. If you love this ‘stuff’ like I do, then I want to take you on the journey with me.
I’m sure you can imagine just how excited I was when I got the invitation to attend. And of course, I had to head out to find the perfect dress.
This week actually marks the one-year anniversary of when I started my weight loss journey. It’s been an incredible year. Being able to attend The Good Dinosaur event was like a celebration for me. I put on my fancy dress, put my hair in an up-do and donned a new pair of high heels.
I have been fortunate to attend other Disney red carpet events. The picture below is a before and after of my weight loss journey.
Excitement before the event is high. I just wanted to take it all in.
On our way to the event, we stopped at the Oscar stairs. It’s just magical being in a place like this. Standing on this specific stairway.
When it’s time to start heading in, we make our way through the crowds and around towards the entrance. I feel honored and privileged to be able to walk this path.
I realize just how amazing it is to be one person in this crowd. To walk past and see Weird Al Yankovic and his family, Mario Lopez and his beautiful little girl. The cast of The Good Dinosaur Raymond Ochoa (Arlo), Jack Bright (Spot), Marcus Scribner (Arlo’s brother, Buck), Jeffrey Wright (Papa), Anna Paquin (Ramsey) and her husband, Stephen Moyer, Sam Elliot (Butch), and many more awesome Disney stars.
I’m not one that likes to get up in the face of actors. I like to watch and admire from a far. That’s just me. I love to take a step back and just observe. It’s amazing to see them interacting with their fans and then also each other and their families. This is their night to celebrate the incredible movie they’ve created and I’m just so happy to be able to share in it.
I’ll be talking more about the movie soon but this was the second time I was viewing it. And I still thought it was a great film full of feels and laughs.
It was incredible to be in the theater with the cast, crew and their families. Hearing the little kids, ooh, ahh and even howl. There’s nothing like being a part of the applause at the end when we’re celebrating the hard work of everyone that played a part in the making of this incredible movie. I don’t think I can even find the right words.
We stayed until the very last of the credits rolled and it was worth it. All of the cast and crew deserved their applause.
The after party was held at the amazing Ohm nightclub. We enjoyed The Good Dinosaur frontier inspired foods, drinks and desserts. We even got our picture taken in Wyoming!
Reggie Miller actually let us have his table after he and his sweet kids were done eating.
I do love being able to take part of the animated movie premieres. Seeing these young actors with their families and friends is so fun. I think my favorite part is getting to see how proud their parents are of them. For me, when you become a parent, you start living less for yourself and more for your kids. These parents are doing that for their kids.
I will also be able to share our interviews with the cast soon but in the meantime, let me just say, these kids are amazingly talented. I’m very much in awe of how they handled the interviews, the premiere and how they performed in the film itself. Truly amazing. Their parents have to be so proud!
The Good Dinosaur opens in theaters on Thanksgiving Day! Head to the theaters and see it with your family!
Some of my fellow bloggers did get to see and meet different actors and their families so make sure to check out there posts as well (see links below). And then stay tuned for more coverage of The Good Dinosaur event and more!!
Here’s a few more photos LIVE from the Green Carpet!
