How are you making healthy choices and setting health goals?

My husband and I have recently started making more healthy choices. We’re on a plan to shed some weight and get more physically fit. It’s not always easy. Not by a long shot. But setting some good health goals does help.

When you’re first starting out, it sometimes helps to start off easy. Maybe setting a few health goals and accomplishing one at a time. For example, increasing your water in take. I have a really hard time drinking enough water. So that is one of my goals. Drinking enough water plays a huge role in weight loss and weight management.

In order to keep track of my water in take, I picked up a new water bottle while I was at Walgreens today.

I love shopping at Walgreens. For one, I have a store close to my house so it’s convenient and two, I love using Walgreens Balance Rewards.  There are so many features that make my life easier. I always have my phone with me so having the Balance Rewards app let’s me access and use it anytime from anywhere.

I recently started using the Balance Rewards healthy choice program. LOVE IT! I can track my water intake, steps I’ve taken, my weight loss progress and more. It helps me keep accountable by not only setting my health goals but tracking them as well. I’m a very visual person so I need to see my progress.

You can also connect other devices and apps you already use. Have a Fitbit or iHealth device? Connect them. Have a fitness tracker like MyFitnessPal? Connect it.

Plus, being that healthy choices is connected to your Balance Rewards, you also can earn points for your healthy activity! You can earn 20 points for each mile, 20 points when you add a weigh-in, and 20 points for blood pressure or blood glucose readings, etc.

So to recap – with Balance Rewards healthy choices I can:

1. Set and track my health goals

2. Connect the health devices and apps I currently use

3. Earn Balance Rewards points for my healthy activity

Win, Win, Win!

So off I go! I’m filling up my water bottle …

Fill 'er Up!

… and heading out for a walk earning points as I go!

Getting in my Steps

Here’s to making healthy choices and setting health goals! What are your health goals?

It’s so hard to keep track of day to day life when you’re a parent, so I love that staying on track of your water consumption and fitness goals is made easy with the Balance Rewards app! #client
