3 Ways to Better Manage your Pain

October 22, 2018 by Dawn Filed Under: Health & Fitness Leave a Comment

Pain is something that can massively impact your life, no matter how old you are. During those years where you were so young and full of energy, it was probably easy to think that pain was for the elderly, and something you weren’t going to experience until you were old and grey. But pain is something we all know to come on at any age, and at any time, and for any reason. People are now younger and younger, and experiencing some big pain problems, mainly in the back and neck region. It can be debilitating more than you realise, or perhaps you do if you’re suffering from pain long term. But living with pain is no way to live, and going under the knife is also not an option for most of us, as the pain we’re suffering is not exactly something surgery can fix. It might be due to posture, an injury, or just the way you’ve treated your body over the years. So, if you keep on reading, we’ll show you some of the ways you can kick your pain to the curb with these three healers.

New Age Medicine

The new age techniques of medicine are definitely something that we all need to be trying. At the moment, there’s such a scare based around what we’re putting into our bodies, such as the scare with antibiotics and the resilience we’re building up to them as a human race. But the new age types of medicine are much more natural, and have proven to make a difference where pain is concerned. Cannabis is the solution we’re talking about, and whilst people will have mixed views about this, it’s hard to ignore the facts. Cannabis has long been used as a medicinal aid, and so many countries are making it legal for recreational use, with some countries such as the UK being stricter, and only allowing it for medical use. But either way, however you access it, this is something you have to try. It reacts with pain and nervous receptors, allowing inflammation to reduce, and pain to be eased!

Chiropractors & Regular Massages

This is a two in one sort of deal, but something we definitely think you should be trying. Chiropractic treatments alongside regular massage is a win-win in terms of back and neck pain. Chiropractors are trained in muscle manipulation, meaning issues could be corrected in just a few sessions. The massage side of things helps to keep everything relaxed and subtle, working on any knotted areas and troubled areas, reducing tension and easing pain!

Posture Correctors

Posture correctors are definitely what you need in your life if you work at a desk, or you just know that you’re bad for posture in general. They can be bought online, and simply work by pulling your shoulders back, getting rid of that slouched position. It’s advisable that you correct your posture whilst you’re young, because the longer you leave it as it is, the more problems it’ll create as you get older.
