Paleo Banana Berry Smoothie

Since going Paleo, we’ve been doing pretty well. We’ve been able to successfully cut out grains, sugar and dairy. It’s not always easy but we have a few favorite Paleo foods that help us get through.

One is the Paleo Banana Muffins and the other is this Paleo Banana Berry Smoothie. It’s very yummy. We add a 1/2-1 scoop of protein powder and will have it for a meal even.

This is good, obviously, if you’re trying to eat Paleo but it’s just a great smoothie all around. Most of my kids are sensitive to dairy so I love that this is something they can enjoy too!

Paleo Banana Berry Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Coconut Milk or Almond Milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1/4 cup frozen berries more or less to taste
  • 1/2-1 scoop protein powder optional

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.

The protein powder is optional but if you leave it out, you may want to add a little bit of vanilla flavoring if needed. Or use a little bit of splenda. I don’t know that the protein powder is completely Paleo anyway because it does contain some milk and wheat. But if you need some protein to make it filling, I think it’s a good option.

I used tropical frozen fruit today to make this one. It was delicious. I just buy big bags of assorted frozen fruit from Walmart.

Let me know if you try this yummy Paleo Banana Berry Smoothie!

Yum! Smoothies are my go-to breakfast. I also add a few raw egg yolks (good quality organic are safest!) and some MCT oil to the blender to make it even more nutritious and filling.
