Healthy Super Bowl Party Recipes

With the Super Bowl coming up this weekend, we might be looking for great recipes, snacks and foods to bring to those parties we’ll be attending. But what about Healthy Super Bowl Party Recipes?

The beginning of the year is time to be cutting back on calories, fats and sugar. Don’t let things like Super Bowl Parties throw you off. There’s plenty of healthy and still yummy recipes that you can make and bring with you to those get togethers!

Here are a couple recipes you can pick from:

Sage White Bean Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz can cannellini beans, rinsed, drained well
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves minced or grated
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh sage leaves
  • drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Put rinsed/dried cannellini beans in bowl and mash with a fork; set aside.
  2. Put a skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons olive oil.
  3. Add garlic and chopped fresh sage leaves and stir for 2 minutes or until garlic is fragrant and sage is slightly crispy.
  4. Pour this oil/garlic mixture over the smashed beans in the bowl and stir.
  5. Drizzle with the extra-virgin olive oil and add salt and pepper to taste; toss gently.
  6. Serve immediately with veggies, breadsticks, or crackers for dipping.
